Established in 1960, although in a different form than it is today, the company started with a small client base working mainly for large insurance companies such as Sun Alliance and Legal & General. The original company concentrated on the servicing of steel windows, general glazing and repairs to fire escapes.
Since the mid 1980's, after the former proprietor decided to retire from the business, the company began to grow considerably and moved into a more specialised field; that of refurbishment and redecoration of steel windows encompassing a complete site package. We found that employing direct labour to carry out all the work processes including decoration proved most successful. Our site team became specialists in their own fields, achieving extremely high standards. With this evolution, during the 1990's the style of contracts being undertaken began to change dramatically. Our specialised area or work became prestigious landmark buildings including County Hall, Unilever House, Victoria House and Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel. In recent years we have also undertaken replacement steel window contracts including Block 5 Regent Street, replacement aluminium windows at St. Catherine's House and replacement timber sash windows at 70 Chancery Lane. With over 40 years of technical experience we have accumulated a vast wealth of experience in the fenestration industry. All these projects have helped to earn ASWS an enviable reputation. We are committed to the smooth running of all contracts we undertake, regardless of size. This relies upon the interpretation and the application of the Clients requirements, as well as our keen attention to detail, which we pride ourselves on.
