St.Catherine's House, Aldwych, WC2
St.Catherine's House, Aldwych, WC2, the old Record Office held different challenges. The 240 façade windows were to be replaced in Hueck aluminium system within the framework of the decorative spandrel panels. The existing and damaged cast iron decorative panels had to be restored and 3 new panels had to be made to replicate the existing, using mouldings and cast iron. They were then sprayed in metallic bronze to match the windows, to achieve the end effect.
